Facet III • The Composer

Original Compositions, Chamber Arrangements & Contemporary Scores

Exploring structural form, counterpoint, and harmonic architecture through acoustic scoring and studio production.

Architecture in Sound

Counterpoint, Tension, and Resolution

“Composition is the study of how independent voices can move with their own integrity while contributing to a coherent whole.”

Long before my work in industrial relations or public policy simulations, music composition was my first training in complex systems. Writing for an ensemble requires balancing individual lines, harmonic tension, and structural pacing so that contrasting elements resolve with clarity rather than chaos.

Holding a Licentiate in Music Composition (LTCL) and an Associate Diploma from the Victoria College of Music, my musical output spans original instrumental and chamber works, solo keyboard pieces, and contemporary arrangements. Whether engraving scores in Sibelius or producing realizations in Studio One, music remains a constant creative counterweight to my academic and institutional work.
